Spelling Bee July 21, 2026: Pangram & Answers

edited by Sam Ezersky.

Recap

The grid featured a mix of everyday words and more obscure terms, with a strong focus on words containing the centre letter and common letter combinations. Solvers found success with words related to roles and titles, as well as terms describing imperfections or flaws. The pangram was a particularly challenging but rewarding find, using all the letters in a single, cohesive word.

The seven letters

F ABILNY

Every answer had to use F. The board accepted 25 words in all.

Spelling Bee hints, rung by rung

Six rungs, counts before words. The recap above already named the pangram, so this ladder is here for anyone replaying the board fresh rather than as a spoiler shield.

    No answer is named.

Word pairs with 'if' and double letters are favoured. Look for terms related to officials, horses, and types of food. Some answers describe something as flawed or imperfect.
